For individuals age 70½ and older, a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows you to give directly from your IRA to a qualified 501(c)(3) charity without paying federal income tax on the amount donated. This year, we collected four overflowing grocery carts with non‑perishable food and toiletries. We filled the trunk of the vehicle sent to pick it all up!
